The liquid to be filtered is introduced into the magnetic filter through the drainage device. When the liquid flows through the magnetic drum, the magnetic particles contained in the liquid are absorbed on the surface of the magnetic drum. Separation; The separated liquid overflows into the lower tank by gravity through the lower diffuser. In order to ensure the adsorption efficiency and reduce the large amount of foam produced by the liquid to be filtered, the liquid flow should be as stable and slow as possible. A scraper is installed above the outer drum of the magnetic drum, and the scraper is close to the outer surface of the magnetic drum to facilitate the removal of iron powder adhering to the surface of the drum. The shape of the scraper is sloped, which is convenient for the scraped iron powder to fall into the waste collection hopper along the outer surface of the scraper.

Rotary drum magnetic filter (see picture) because it uses more magnetic materials, can adsorb more ferromagnetic substances, and has no secondary pollution. It has been widely used by large state-owned enterprises such as Baosteel and Tonggang. However, it is suitable for small particles of iron. The powder removal effect is not good, and iron powder with a particle size of less than 20 μm is difficult to remove; and because most of the equipment is imported, the price is high, and the one-time input cost is high, which some small-scale manufacturers cannot afford. Due to its simple structure and low cost of spare parts, in recent years, foreign machinery manufacturers have been introduced to China as the main equipment of high-speed continuous hot-dip galvanizing and degreasing section of annealing line; the common flow specification is about 500-1000L/min.
